Various programmes have been organized to commemorate the 75th year of India’s Independence in the state along with the entire country. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. Debapriya Bardhan, District Magistrate of West Tripura, gave this information in a press conference organized at the conference hall of the District Magistrate’s office of West Tripura.

 He said that various steps have been taken for the successful implementation of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme in West District. A meeting has already been held with the officials of various departments in this regard. Extensive campaign work has already started for the successful implementation of this programme in the district. The programme will take place from August 13 to August 15, in which national flag will be hoisted in every house with due dignity. Initiatives have been taken to make the flags priority and these flags will be made between July 30 and August 6. An initiative has been taken to make 85,000 flags in West District. DM said that people can collect such national flags from various fair price shops and ward offices within the district. Additional District Magistrate Asim Saha, Senior Deputy Collector Rakesh Chakraborty were also present in the press conference.
