Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the dream of Swanirbhar Tripura will be a success only when our students are fully equipped with knowledge and other intellectual and emotional faculty – and for that teachers are playing the most crucial role because it is on their proper guidance that the future of the students is built .The Chief Minister said, his government is working to strengthen the foundation of education system to ensure prosperous future of the students.
While speaking at the 60th Teachers’ Day at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in the city on Sunday Deb said, the ideal teachers play the leading role in building prosperous and developed society by making ideal students– the Swanirbhar future of the students is built through proper guidance of the teachers.
“The state government is making policies and working for the welfare of people from the secretariat, instead of party office following which the average income has increased. For success, there is a need of a transparent and proper system. And, the government is working with priority to reach the goal”, Deb said.
The Chief Minister said the quality of education has improved following which the guardians are now sending their children to government schools.
He said 100 target couldn’t be achieved under Notun Disha project due to Covid pandemic. But, with a goal to achieve 100 percent target under the scheme by November 14 next, Deb administered a oath to all present in the hall.
Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said the state government already took several steps to ensure quality education. He said the Tripura has made progress in PGI score, the state is now on Grade-I.
Revenue Minister N.C. Debbarma, Chief Secretary Kumar Alok, Director of Elementary Education Chandni Chandran, Higher Education director N.C. Sharma and chairman of Higher Education Council Auronoday Saha were present in the programme.
