To increase accessibility of Aadhar Services in Tripura, UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) opened a new Aadhaar Seva Kendra in Agartala which has been inaugurated by West Tripura District Magistrate & Collector Debapriya Bardhan today. The new Aadhaar Seva Kendra is located at 1st Floor, Ava Market, Motor Stand, Shivnagar, Agartala. The centre was opened by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

The new centre can process up to 250 Aadhaar enrolment and update requests per day. Residents shall be able to avail Aadhaar related services such as enrolment, updating address, name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, e-mail and biometrics (photo, fingerprints and Iris) through booking an appointment at UIDAI portal (https://appointments.uidai.gov.in/bookappointment.aspx) or mAadhaar App or can avail the services through walk-in on weekdays from 9.30 am to 5.30pm. Applicants are requested to bring original documents along with them. List of acceptable documents can be found at https://uidai.gov.in/images/commdoc/valid_documents_list.pdf.

Aadhaar enrolment and Mandatory Biometric update (MBU)/MBU along with demographic update shall be done free of cost. Biometric update with or without demographic update shall be done at the cost of Rs. 100. Demographic update (name, address, gender etc.) shall be done at the cost of Rs. 50. e-Aadhaar download and colour print on A4 sheet paper shall be done at the cost of Rs. 30. Update of more than one field on single instance will be considered as one update. Aadhaar enrolment and Mandatory Biometric update (MBU) for children of 5-15 years of age shall be done free of cost.
