Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Chief Ministers of different states through video conference regarding Covid-19 situation today.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb attended the virtual meeting from the Secretariat. Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya also attended the meeting.
Union Health Secretary elaborated about the present Covid-19 scenario and progress in vaccination in the country. Chief Ministers of different states elaborately discussed about preparation of the respective state to prevent Covid-19 infection including public awareness, present condition of health infrastructure, progress in vaccination etc.
Others present with the Chief Minister during the virtual meeting were Principal Secretary of Health & Family Welfare department J.K Sinha, Director of National Health Mission (Tripura Division) Dr. Sidharth Shiv Jaiswal, Director of Family Welfare & Preventive Medicines Dr. Radha Debbarma and State Surveillance Officer Dr. Deep Kumar Debbarma.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb discussed the matter with Principal Secretary of Health & Family Welfare department and officials of the department. The Chief Minister emphasized upon ensuring availability of adequate oxygen plants and other treatment facilities in different hospitals and on regularly reviewing the matter as primary preparation to prevent Covid-19 in the state. The Chief Minister, following Prime Minister’s advice, also directed the department to take necessary steps for routine safety audits in different hospitals of the state. He also emphasized upon beautifying GBP and IGM hospitals. He said, patients are also able to relax if the hospital is well kept and clean.
