Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha announced that the state government has provided 20,960 regular jobs with transparent recruitment practices, while over 24,000 contractual and outsourcing jobs were also created across multiple departments.
Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday said that the present state government has provided 20,960 regular jobs across various departments till date, stressing that the recruitment process was conducted with transparency and based entirely on merit.
The Chief Minister made the announcement while addressing an appointment distribution programme held at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala. Senior officials, including Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Additional CEO Ushajen Mog and Revenue Department Secretary Milind Ramteke, attended the event.
During the programme, appointment offers were handed over to 115 newly recruited candidates under the Health, Revenue and Election departments. The fresh recruits included 27 candidates for Radiology and Imaging Technology posts, 39 Laboratory Technicians and 19 Optometrists under the Health Department. In addition, 14 Revenue Inspectors were appointed under the Revenue Department, while 16 Election Inspectors joined the Election Department.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the state government has maintained a transparent recruitment system to ensure deserving candidates receive employment opportunities without any irregularities. He stated that the administration remains committed to strengthening governance and public service delivery through systematic recruitment in key sectors.
The Chief Minister further said that besides regular government employment, the state administration has also generated 24,078 jobs through contractual engagement and outsourcing arrangements. According to him, these initiatives have helped expand employment opportunities for youths across the state.

Highlighting administrative reforms, Dr. Saha said Tripura has achieved significant progress under the “Ease of Doing Business” initiative. He noted that the state secured the top position in Phase-I of Deregulation and Compliance Reduction and successfully completed Phase-II, again emerging as the first state in the country to achieve the milestone.
He added that the reforms are aimed at improving administrative efficiency, reducing procedural hurdles and encouraging investment opportunities in the state. According to the Chief Minister, such measures are expected to contribute to economic growth and create additional employment avenues in the coming years.

Speaking about the recruitment drive in the health sector and other departments, Dr. Saha acknowledged that several technical positions had remained vacant for a long time. He said the government has taken proactive steps to fill those vacancies in order to improve public service delivery and ensure better functioning of essential departments.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of skill development and said the state government is working in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to strengthen skills across multiple sectors. He said enhancing technical expertise and professional training among youths remains a priority for the government.

The appointment distribution programme concluded with the newly recruited employees receiving their offer letters, marking another step in the state government’s ongoing employment and administrative reform initiatives.
