 Gomati Health Dept has taken up various programmes to celebrate Meri Maati Mera Desh with the tagline “Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence. As a part of celebration, various programs are being taken up by Health Department in Gomati district with the support of National Health Mission.

The District Level programme held on Friday was inaugurated by Debal Debroy, District Zilla Sabhadhipati and Govekar Mayur Ratilal, District Magistrate & Collector. The programme was jointly organised by the CMO Gomati District and Medical Superintendent of Gomati District Hospital. 

District’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kamal Reang said as part of the programme, 75 nos of trees have been planted around the Chief Health Officer’s office and district hospital complex.A total of 75 trees have been planted on Friday. 

The District Magistrate urged all the workers to keep their workplace transparent & pollution free. Zilla Sabhadhipati has recited the pledge of Panch Pran, five-part oath, while griping the soil in the hand of participants. All participated have recited the pledge. 

Similarly, on the occasion of “Meri Mati Mera Desh”, various health institutions including Amarpur & Karbook Sub Divisional Hospital, Tripurasundari Sub Divisional Hospital of Udaipur, Tulamura Primary Health Centre & Manithang HWC have also conducted tree plantation programme as a part of “Meri Mati Mera Desh”. Various health workers, doctors, nursing officers, program management staff, and general public have participated in the programs.
