Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak offered prayers at Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur after arriving in Tripura, highlighting spiritual unity, development vision, and support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat mission.
A warm reception marked the arrival of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Tripura on Wednesday as senior BJP leaders and party workers gathered at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala to welcome her. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Gupta later visited the revered Tripura Sundari Temple, popularly known as Matabari, where both leaders offered prayers.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, senior party leaders, and supporters welcomed the visiting dignitaries at the airport amid enthusiastic celebrations.
Speaking after her arrival, Rekha Gupta thanked the people of Tripura and party workers for the grand welcome. She said the visit to the sacred shrine filled her with pride and inner peace. The Delhi Chief Minister stated that she would pray for the continued progress of Tripura and for the realization of the vision of “Viksit Bharat” under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At the temple in Udaipur, Gupta performed rituals and offered prayers seeking prosperity, happiness, and good health for citizens across the country. She also prayed for national development and social harmony.

Brajesh Pathak, who visited the temple along with members of his family, described the shrine as one of India’s spiritually significant and historic religious sites. He noted that the temple was established in 1501 CE by Maharaja Dhanya Manikya and continues to attract devotees from different parts of the country throughout the year.
The leaders reached Agartala after attending the oath-taking ceremony of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati earlier in the day. Their visit to Tripura highlighted the growing political coordination among BJP-ruled states in the Northeast and northern India.

The presence of senior BJP leaders in Tripura also generated excitement among party supporters, with many gathering along the route to greet the dignitaries. The visit combined spiritual significance with political outreach, reflecting the party’s emphasis on cultural heritage, development, and regional engagement.
