During the last four years BJP-IPFT government in Tripura has given employment to  3366 persons under Secondary and Elementary Education departments.

Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that the Secondary Education department on Monday issued offers to 198 candidates who qualified STGT and STPGT. The figure included 162 Graduate Teachers and 36 Post Graduate Teachers. 

He said, the 162 Graduate Teachers included 11 from SC category, 141 from ST category and the remaining 10 from UR category while out of 36 PGTs, 27 are from ST category, 8 from SC category and one is from UR category. 

Apart from the 198 posts of STGT and STPGT, total, 1,496 persons– 1,313 graduate teachers, 132 post-graduate teachers, 16 LDCs and 35 Group-D staff were also recruited in Secondary Education till today, he said. 

“So far, 1,672 persons including 1,161 graduate teachers, 450 under-graduate teachers, 33 LDCs and 28 Group-D staff were also recruited under the Elementary Education department,” Nath said. 

On the other hand, he said, the Education department already sent a proposal to the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) to call interview for the posts of 200 special educators.

More 300 post-graduate teachers for ‘Vidyajyoti Schools’, 110 post-graduate teachers for other schools and another 210 graduate teachers for secondary education would be recruited soon, he said. 

He also spoke on the other recruitments which are in the pipeline.
