Tripura Medical College (TMC) students secured nine of the top ten university ranks in the 3rd Professional Part-I examination, achieving a 92.68% pass rate. TMC students also won first and second positions in a World Anaesthesia Day quiz competition.

Tripura Medical College (TMC) has achieved a significant academic milestone, with its students securing nine of the top ten university ranks in the 3rd Professional Part-I University Examination and recording an impressive pass percentage of 92.68 per cent. The achievement has further strengthened the institution’s reputation for academic excellence and quality medical education in Tripura.

Expressing satisfaction over the results, TMC Principal Prof. (Dr.) Arindam Datta congratulated the successful students and teaching faculty, acknowledging their collective efforts in achieving the outstanding outcome. He described the results as highly encouraging and attributed the success to the dedication, hard work and determination of students, supported by the continuous guidance and mentoring of faculty members.

The latest university examination results highlight the college’s academic performance and its commitment to maintaining high standards in medical education. Securing nine positions among the top ten university ranks represents a notable accomplishment for the institution and reflects the efforts made by students and teachers throughout their academic journey.

Adding to the college’s recent achievements, two teams of TMC students secured first and second positions, respectively, in a quiz competition organised to mark World Anaesthesia Day. The competition was organised by the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Tripura State Branch (ISA-TSB), in collaboration with Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC).

A total of six students represented Tripura Medical College in the competition, demonstrating their knowledge and academic preparedness in the field. Their performance brought further recognition to the institution and complemented its success in the university examinations.

Speaking to Tripura Times, Dr. Datta said the achievements reflected the strong academic environment prevailing at the college. He explained that many students join TMC after admissions to Agartala Government Medical College are completed. Despite this, students at TMC continue to demonstrate strong academic performance through proper mentoring, dedicated teaching and their own determination to succeed.

The Principal emphasised that students’ accomplishments were the result of a combined effort involving learners and faculty members. He highlighted the importance of academic guidance, consistent preparation and a supportive teaching environment in helping students achieve strong results in university examinations and academic competitions.

The college’s performance in both the professional examination and the World Anaesthesia Day quiz has brought recognition to its academic community. The results also underline the importance of maintaining a learning environment that encourages students to develop their knowledge, professional skills and confidence as future medical practitioners.

With a 92.68 per cent pass rate, nine of the top ten university ranks and first and second places in the anaesthesia quiz, Tripura Medical College has recorded a notable series of academic successes.
