In a stride towards achieving comprehensive outreach and ensuring the benefits of various flagship schemes, Tripura launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra alongside the Prati Ghare Sushasan 2.0 Campaign. These initiatives, undertaken by the state government, aim to ensure 100% saturation of central government schemes among the common masses.
Speaking from the Conference Hall of the Office of the District Magistrate and Collector, West Tripura, Dr. Bishal Kumar, the District Magistrate, provided insights into the success of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. He noted, “The Yatra received immense response from the common people, with at least 1200 participants recorded in each camp organised at 84 locations in 9 different blocks of the state.”
Dr. Bishal Kumar elaborated, “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a government initiative to raise awareness and track the implementation of various central schemes, including Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima, and PM SVANidhi, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15, 2023.”
He emphasised the campaign’s objectives, including disseminating information, generating awareness, interacting with beneficiaries, and enrolling potential beneficiaries. The Yatra aims to reach the unreached and vulnerable populations who are eligible for various schemes but have remained deprived.
Certain areas, including Mandwi RD Block, Hezamara RD Block, and Lefunga RD Block, witnessed significant participation and enthusiasm during the yatra. As per the status report to date, a noteworthy 88,154 individuals attended the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programs. Health camps screened 24,602 people, with 10,884 individuals checked for TB and 9,530 for sickle cell.
Furthermore, the campaign recognised the achievements of 12,018 people across various fields through central schemes, and Ayushman Bharat cards were issued to 3,485 individuals. The comprehensive success of the yatra reflects a significant stride towards achieving 100% saturation in delivering the benefits of central government schemes to the common masses in Tripura.
