Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Thursday, Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be inaugurated on the 1st of January 2024. He said that the Congress and CPI(M) had hindered the construction of the temple and put the issue in the jurisdiction of the court for long. Mr. Shah was addressing public meetings at Dharmanagar in the North district and Sabroom in the South District after the launch of the Tripura BJP’s ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’.
Shah claimed that Tripura has made progress in every sector after BJP came into power in the state. Shah was addressing public meetings after launch of party’s Jan Vishwas Yatra at Dharmanagar in North district and Sabroom in South District.
He further claimed that, since BJP came into power in 2018 in the state, the double engine government have successfully delivered welfare for the people of the state in terms of connectivity, social welfare, health care, agriculture and allied and others.
The purpose of Tripura BJP’s ‘Jan Viswas Yatra’ is to showcase the developmental works done by the BJP government since 2018. The eight day programme will cover 60 constituencies in the state.
BJP national president JP Nadda is scheduled to be present on the concluding day of the Yatra on January 12.
Shah said there was a ‘cadre raj’, corruption and a regime of manipulation under communist rule, but now everything has come to an end.
He said there had been a visible change in governance under BJP’s rule and Tripura is marching ahead with flying colours like other states of the country.
Over 10,000 crores have been invested for infrastructure development of the state, work for 850 kilometres of National Highway construction is progressing, and Rs 1300 crore worth of World Bank funds sanctioned for tribal area development in five years, he informed.
“Tourism infrastructure in Tripura has witnessed a sea change in five years and now people from across the country are coming to the major tourist destinations, which boosted the state’s economy and also opened up several opportunities for the youths. But many more things are waiting for the state’s people,” Shah attributed.
In the morning, Shah flagged off Jana Biswas Yatra on a chariot at Dharmanagar in North Tripura followed by addressing a rally.
