Govt relaxed upper age limit by 2 years for job aspirants

In an important policy decision the Tripura government on Monday decided to extend the upper age limit for the government job aspirants by two years. The relaxation was, however, given for one year only. It will remain in force till June 30, 2023.

The relaxation of upper age limit was felt necessary as there were delays in extending government jobs to the unemployed due to Covid pandemic.
A government press release said, many of the unemployed youths might have already crossed the upper age limit stipulated for government job while the recruitments could not be undertaken due to Covid related problems.

The state government went for the upper age relaxation , it is believed, was not only for the delay in recruitment, but also keeping in mind the next assembly elections- which would be held in February 2023.

With the relaxation- a political masterstroke – the ruling parties were expected to sway a great number of unemployed youths in its favour before the polls.

TBSE to distribute new marksheets for HS

Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) will  distribute new marksheets for Higher Secondary following in the wake off some confusion regarding the year mentioned along with the registration number, said Board secretary Dr. Dulal Dey in a press conference on Monday.

He pointed out that though the results were error free but there are some confusion regarding the year mentioned along with the registration number in the marksheets,
The TBSE secretary said, those who had missed the Term-I examination in December last year after being failed to fill up form in due time were given chance to take the examinations later.
“There were many students who had passed Madhyamik examination long ago but appeared in Higher Secondary examinations this year. In that case, to maintain the database, we mentioned the year when they passed Madhyamik examination along with the registration number.”
The Board now decided to change the year where the confusion is arising in Higher Secondary marksheets, he said.
According to the TBSE secretary, the teachers of the respective schools would collect the marksheets and the Board would distribute new mark sheets in next four to five days.
