Tripura BJP president Abhishek Debroy urges the Mahila Morcha to expand booth-level grassroots influence and serve as the driving engine for the party’s victory in the upcoming 2028 Assembly elections during a key state organizational meeting.
Emphasizing the decisive power of women voters and party cadres, Tripura Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and MLA Abhishek Debroy declared that the BJP Mahila Morcha must step forward as the primary driving force behind the party’s re-election campaign for the 2028 Assembly elections.
Debroy made these remarks while addressing a special introductory session (Parichay Varga) and high-level organizational review meeting held at the state party headquarters in Agartala. The convention was convened specifically for the newly appointed office-bearers of the Tripura Pradesh BJP Mahila Morcha committee.
Addressing the gathering, Debroy underlined the indispensable role played by women workers across Tripura’s socio-political spectrum. “The Bharatiya Janata Party has consistently accorded the highest priority to women karyakartas. Across our rallies, community programs, and organizational outreach sessions, 80 to 90 percent of the attendees are our mothers and sisters,” Debroy stated. He noted that women are not merely beneficiaries of government welfare initiatives, but active leaders shaping the state’s political trajectory.
Debroy commended the recently reconstituted committee under Tripura Pradesh Mahila Morcha President Moushumi Das, expressing firm confidence in her leadership. Das, who was present alongside state vice-presidents and executive members, has finalized appointments across both state and district-level wings.
“Under the stewardship of Moushumi Das, a disciplined, dedicated team of women leaders is prepared to lead from the front. The BJP thrives on the devotion of its ground workers, and this new committee will build an unshakeable operational base,” Debroy remarked.
The state party chief issued a direct mandate to the leadership to focus on ground-level penetration rather than confining activities to urban centers. He stressed that micro-level booth management remains the backbone of electoral success. Every single polling booth in the state, Debroy argued, must possess an active, vocal women’s committee capable of directly countering opposition narratives, mobilizing households, and highlighting state and central government achievements.

“My clear call to our women leaders is to build an organizational presence so resilient and pervasive that the Mahila Morcha stands as the undeniable purveyor of the BJP’s return to power in 2028,” Debroy urged. The session concluded with strategic deliberations detailing grassroots outreach campaigns, membership verification drives, and district-level coordination schedules across Tripura.
