Tripura government has announced 12% DA/ DR with effect from December 1 this year. With this Total release of DA/DR now stands at 20%.
In addition, the State Government has taken a major decision, to substantially increase the compensation for the hard work done by the DRWs/ MRWs/ PTWs Contingent etc. workers. There is over 50% increase in their remuneration/ wage.
A total of 1,04,600 regular employees and about 80,800 pensioners/ families will benefit from this increase in instalment of DA/DR.
Over 86,000 DRW/Contingent/Monthly rated/ Part-time etc. workers will benefit from this increase in their monthly. Remuneration, said the government press release.
Both these decisions of the Government will put an additional amount of around Rs. 120 Cr per months and Rs 1440 crore per annum in the hands of employees and pensioners benefitting more than 1,94,000 persons/ families in the State.
Earlier the state had released 8 per cent DA to the employees in July last.
It was, in fact, in the last budget under former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb that provisions for 12 percent DA/ DR etc that were given today had been kept.
The decisions of the state government was announced in a press conference held by Chief Minister dr manik saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu dev Varma who also holds the finance port folio, Chief Secretary J K Sinha and Finance secretary Brijesh Pandey.

The DA/ DR, increased remuneration/ wages etc., will be paid with the monthly salary/pension etc. of December 2022.
With this 20 per cent DA/ DR now the gap with the central DA/ DR now stands at about 9 per cent , said Finance secretary Brijesh Pandey.
With the increase of the DA and DR and hike in the wages and remunerations a long standing demand of the government employees has been met. Besides, the increase that came before the ensuing assembly elections are likely to influence the electors in favour of the ruling BJP.
