The Opposition CPM’s state committee conference discussed in threadbare party’s organizational matters especially in view of the ensuing Village Committee elections as well as 2023 Assembly polls. The state committee which met for two days also reviewed the political situation of the state and felt that the BJP -IPFT government ‘failed in all fronts to protect the interest of the working people’.
The State committee members discussed in threadbare the performance of the BJP-IPFT run government in the state and as to how they would go ahead with chalking out the poll strategies based on the present political and administrative situation.
CPM state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury after the two-day conference in a press meet on Friday said that corruption galore marked the BJP rule in the state since 2018.
The CPM leader said rampant corruptions and financial irregularities were noticed in almost all the projects including Highway constructions to Matabari developmentt works, Light House to Smart City projects. There were also allegations in the industrial sector which ruined the TIDC.
Chowdhuri frowned upon the fact that though the reports of corruptions made screaming newspaper headlines no action was taken against any body nor any steps were taken to stop corruptions.”
The former Minister had also touched upon the Education department and alleged that education system in the state had collapsed completely and the Vidyajyoti Project acted as the last nail to the coffin. He also referred to the recent agitations of the students and their guardians for teachers’ scarcity and government’s failure to appoint the required teachers.
Choudhuri also lambasted the government for the deteriorating law and order situation and sought the intervention of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha for restoration of the law and order situation in the state.
