The Assam Rifles, known as the “Guards of the North East,” organized a significant blood donation camp at the Agartala Headquarters, showcasing their dedication to both national security and social responsibility. The event, held under the aegis of the 18th Battalion Assam Rifles, saw the enthusiastic participation of around 150 voluntary blood donors.
State Transport and Tourism Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury, inaugurated the camp and commended the Assam Rifles for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security and territorial integrity. In his address, Minister Chowdhury highlighted the dual role of the Assam Rifles in not only countering terrorism and protecting the borders but also engaging in commendable social initiatives.
