Agartala will host the Regional Level Dak Adalat on 18 November 2025 to address public grievances related to postal services. Citizens can submit written complaints via Speed Post or email before 17 December 2025 for prompt redressal.
The Office of the Postmaster General, North East-I Region, has announced that a Regional Level “Dak Adalat” will be held on 18 November 2025 at 11:00 AM at its regional headquarters in Agartala—799001. The initiative aims to provide an efficient platform for citizens to resolve long-pending issues related to postal services in the region.
Dak Adalats are special grievance-redressal mechanisms conducted periodically by India Post to address complaints that remain unresolved through regular channels. By offering a transparent and time-bound forum, the Dak Adalat strengthens the department’s commitment to improving service quality and ensuring customer satisfaction. The upcoming session in Agartala is expected to attract residents from across Tripura and nearby areas who seek solutions to postal-related concerns.
According to the regional office, the Dak Adalat will accept grievances related to a variety of postal services, including Speed Post, Registered Post, Parcel Services, Savings Schemes, and Postal Life Insurance. Applicants must send their written complaints via Speed Post, clearly superscribing “Dak Adalat” on the envelope. The complaints should be addressed to the Postmaster General, North East-I Region, Agartala—799001.
To ensure proper processing, complainants are required to provide complete details such as full postal address, registration receipt number, and relevant documentation. For issues relating to Post Office Savings Schemes or Postal Life Insurance, citizens must also include their account number and the full address of the depositor or insurer.
The office has emphasized that all written complaints must reach the Postmaster General by 17 December 2025 before 4:30 PM. Complaints received after this deadline will not be considered for the Dak Adalat and will instead be processed through the standard grievance channels. For added convenience, complaints can also be submitted via email at [email protected].
