Trinamool Congress MP Sushmita Dev alleged that her party candidates for local body polls were facing intimidations from the ruling BJP supporters. They also came under pressure for withdrawing candidature from the polls .
Nevertheless, Dev said, the TMC candidates had shown exemplary courage and faced the threats and pressure.
Dev said the TMC fielded candidates in all 51 wards under the Agartala Municipal Corporation and they all would contest the poll and secure win in all seats.
“I learnt that some CPI(M) and Congress candidates had withdrawn their candidatures. But, TMC will fight in all AMC seats and I believe that we will win,” she said.
