Tripura government would incur a loss of Rs. 69 crore per year due to the cut in prices of petrol and diesel.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb while addressing a Vaccination programme in Agartala, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought down the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs. 5 and Rs. 10 respectively across the state. Besides, Tripura among the 14 BJP and NDA ruled states reduced the tax on petrol-diesel by Rs. 7. “The reduction in petrol-diesel price will incur loss of Rs. 69 crore,” Deb said.
He said the Prime Minister didn’t increase the petrol-diesel prices, the prices were hiked in the international markets itself. Even the prices of petrol and diesel had increased in the neighbouring countries including Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
