Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb called upon people to take the second doze of Covid vaccination without fail.
“There is no scope for complacence and everyone must take double dozes of the vaccination”, he said adding that anyone can take the second doze of vaccination anywhere in the country in accordance with his or her convenience.
While addressing a special vaccination drive organized by Ramnagar Sporting Club in collaboration with Agartala Club Forum on Monday the Chief Minister dwelt extensively on the Narendra Modi government’s spectacular success in the vaccination drive in such a vast country.
Deb in his speech also said in view of public safety, the state government took multiple plans for vaccinating the people . He said, public health is a priority sector for the government. To ensure the second dose to all in a speedy manner, he said, the state government took special initiatives.
Deb also acknowledged the role of Agartala Club Forum in this mission. He said a good number of clubs linked with the Club Forum extended support to the government for the vaccination drive.
The Chief Minister said the Covid situation is under control in Tripura but infection is still present in some neighbouring states. In such a situation, the people need to take the vaccine in time and follow the Covid appropriate behaviour.
Principal Secretary (Health) J.K. Sinha, who accompanied the Chief Minister in the programme, said due to timely vaccination of people in Tripura, the Covid death rate in the state is less as compared to other states.
Chairman of Club Forum’s advisory committee Sanjay Paul, joint convener Pranab Sarkar, secretary and president of Ramnagar Sporting Club were also present.
