Biplab Deb chairs his first high-level BJP strategy meeting in Tripura after becoming National General Secretary, discussing organisational affairs, upcoming programmes, grassroots mobilisation and plans to strengthen the party’s network across the state.
Former Tripura Chief Minister and incumbent MP Biplab Kumar Deb chaired his first high-level strategy meeting with the state BJP leadership after assuming charge as the party’s National General Secretary. The meeting was held at the BJP headquarters in Agartala on Monday night and marked Deb’s first major organisational interaction in the state since taking up his new national responsibility.
The meeting generated considerable enthusiasm among BJP workers and supporters, who welcomed Deb’s return to Tripura in his new organisational role. The discussions primarily focused on strengthening the party organisation, reviewing organisational affairs, planning upcoming programmes and further expanding the BJP’s grassroots network across the state.
Tripura BJP president Abhishek Debroy attended the meeting along with senior party leaders. During the session, Debroy highlighted Deb’s organisational experience and his ability to maintain close contact with party workers while handling major responsibilities.
According to Debroy, effective political leadership requires not only the capacity to take on significant responsibilities but also the ability to remain connected with workers at different levels of the organisation. He credited Deb’s direct engagement with party cadres with playing an important role in the expansion of the BJP’s organisational base in Tripura.
Debroy also emphasised the importance of coordination between senior leaders and grassroots workers. He said leaders who work collectively with colleagues and party cadres can help an organisation achieve greater strength and reach.
The state BJP president described the growth of the party in Tripura during Deb’s leadership as an important chapter in the organisation’s political journey. He noted that political leaders may eventually move away from particular posts, but their contributions continue to remain an integral part of the party’s development.
Deb’s new assignment as National General Secretary has given him a broader organisational responsibility within the BJP. His return to Tripura in this capacity has therefore attracted attention among party workers, particularly as the state organisation prepares for upcoming political programmes and activities.
The strategy meeting also placed emphasis on maintaining unity among the party’s leadership and workers. Leaders discussed the need to consolidate the organisational structure and ensure greater coordination between different levels of the party ahead of future programmes.
