Djokovic will next face either Felix Auger-Aliassime or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the quarter-finals, with a potential blockbuster semi-final against world No. 1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner on the horizon.
In women’s singles, Karolína Muchová returned to the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the third time in her career after overcoming fellow Czech and former champion Barbora Krejčíková 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 in a gripping fourth-round contest, ensuring that a first-time women’s singles champion will be crowned at the All England Club this year.
In another encounter, Naomi Osaka produced one of the biggest upsets of Wimbledon 2026, defeating world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka 6-2, 7-6(2) to reach her first quarter-final at the All England Club. The former world No. 1 needed just one hour and 28 minutes to end Sabalenka’s dominance in their rivalry, claiming her first win over the Belarusian in eight years. Earlier, American Jessica Pegula defeated compatriot Iva Jovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 in the Women’s Singles to reach the quarter-finals in London.
