Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday visited Tanti Para in AD Nagar under the Bordowali constituency, where a devastating fire on February 16 completely destroyed the residence of local resident Rajesh Dey. The incident left the family homeless and struggling to cope with the sudden loss of their belongings and shelter.
During his visit to the affected area, Dr. Saha personally handed over Rs 1.20 lakh as immediate financial assistance on behalf of the state government. The relief package aims to support the family in the initial phase of recovery and provide urgent help as they begin rebuilding their lives.
Speaking to residents and local officials at the site, the Chief Minister expressed deep concern over the incident and assured the family that the government would stand firmly by them.
