Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday visited Tanti Para in AD Nagar under the Bordowali constituency, where a devastating fire on February 16 completely destroyed the residence of local resident Rajesh Dey. The incident left the family homeless and struggling to cope with the sudden loss of their belongings and shelter.
During his visit to the affected area, Dr. Saha personally handed over Rs 1.20 lakh as immediate financial assistance on behalf of the state government. The relief package aims to support the family in the initial phase of recovery and provide urgent help as they begin rebuilding their lives.
Speaking to residents and local officials at the site, the Chief Minister expressed deep concern over the incident and assured the family that the government would stand firmly by them. He emphasized that the assistance would not be limited to immediate financial relief, but would extend to all necessary support required for rehabilitation.

“The government stands firmly with those who suffer in such unforeseen disasters. Assistance will not stop here — every possible help will be provided to ensure the family can rebuild their lives,” Dr. Saha said.
Officials present during the visit noted that the swift response highlights the administration’s proactive approach to disaster relief and citizen welfare. They added that district authorities have been instructed to assess the damage thoroughly and coordinate further assistance measures.
