Abhijit Deb , a BJP leader of Amtali area has been made the new Chairman of Transport Corporation (TRTC). Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya reconstituted the Board through a notification on Wednesday.
The formation of new Board and appointment of new Chairman became necessary as former chairman Dipak Majumdar became the AMC Mayor.
According to the notice, the members had been nominated for 3 years term.
Abhijit Deb of Amtali, Madhyapra had been nominated as Chairman of TRTC. Samar Roy was nominated as Vice Chairman. Among others, Sukanta Ghosh, Usha Ranjan Ghosh, and Ashoke Paul had been selected as Director. Besides Additional/ Joint Secretary to Government of Tripura, Finance Department, The Chief Claims Officer, N.F. Railway, Maligaon, Guwahati, Chief Controller of Accounts, IDA Building, Jamnagar House New Delhi will work as Director of the Board. The Managing Director of TRTC will confer the post of Director cum Secretary. Deputy Secretary to the Government of Tripura issued the notice today by order of the Governor.
AMC sets 10 drinking water tanker into services
Agartala Municipal Corporation as part of its citizen centric services set into services 10 drinking water tankers on Wednesday
As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, these drinking water tankers built at the cost of 11 lakh 49 thousand rupees have been started today for citizen centric services. These water tankers hold the capacity of 1000 litre. Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder and Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta have waved flag at Agartala Municipal Corporation office and inaugurated this citizen centric service. While speaking to the media, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder said, Agartala Municipal Corporation is sincere towards different citizen centric services to the AMC area residents. AMC is sincere towards fulfilling different public demands. He said, water will be supplied through these water tankers whenever any scarcity of drinking water is observed, be it religious or social programme. Agartala Municipal Corporation is continuing its work of maintaining cleanliness in the city, clearing traffic jam and infrastructural development.
