The Ministry of Urban Development has sanctioned 1,59,913 houses for Tripura in the financial year 2020-21.
According to a government press release, the sanction was done based on the waiting list of SECC-2021 as per the changed definition of Kuchha house.
The release said the state government already completed the survey for 85 percent of Kuchha houses of the possible beneficiaries sent by the Centre and the survey for the remaining target would be completed by August 25 next.
The draft of the possible beneficiaries, as per the survey conducted till August 5, was made available in every Gram Panchayat and Village Committee on August 9 last.
Meanwhile, special Gram Sabha would be held across the state to finalize the houses under PMA-Y for the recommended beneficiaries and the list in this regard would be published on August 16 next. The claims and objections about the recommended list may be submitted to Gram Panchayats, Village Committees, blocks or district offices.
The list of eligible beneficiaries for approval of PMAY-G Phase-I would be released on September 5 next, the press release said.
The list for the Kuchha houses to be brought under survey by August 25 next would be included in the Phase-II.
