The ruling BJP seems to have set the ball rolling for the next assembly elections in full swing. As it appears the BJP is not ready to leave any space for the opposition and it has woken up early in the morning to catch the electors’ imagination as much as possible.
Close on the heels of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and BJP president Dr Manik Saha’s meeting with MLAs, senior leaders and other elected members on Sunday that – held preliminary discussion on election matters and candidates of the ensuing by polls- on Monday the youth wing of the party, Yuva Morcha took to roads across the state. The Yuva Morcha rallies sought to assert that BJP would return to power in 2023.
The Yuva Morcha already raised the battle cry which was loud and clear : ‘#Lakshya 2023 – Abar BJP’ (#Target 2023 – BJP again). It was by all means first step of the election process. Amidst flags and festoons, Yuva Morcha activists marched through the streets raising slogans.
In the rally, Yuva Morcha activists hailed the leadership of the Chief Minister and denounced the Congress and CPM regimes. They also raised slogans alleging the ‘unholy’ and ‘secret’ understanding between the leftists and the Congress. Morcha supporters also came down heavily on the party deserters.
Yuva Morcha state president Nabadal Banik, General secretaries of State BJP Tinku Roy and Papia Datta, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder and other leaders led the rally.
“A large number of supporters participate in the rally which also grabbed the attention of common people. They cheered us and we are buoyed as well as confident of forming Government in Tripura after the elections”, Morcha leaders said.
