Under Bharatmala scheme Tripura got Rs. 456.88 crore from the Centre for a National Highway project in Tripura. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, announced the sanction of the fund in his official twitter handle on Wednesday.

“Sanction has been given for rehabilitation and up-gradation of Lalcherra – Kanchanpur section of NH-44A under Bharatmala project in Tripura with ₹456.88 crore,” Gadkari tweeted.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Minister for sanctioning the fund. According to Deb, it is another development project approved under the HIRA model of the Prime Minister.
“Much gratitude, Adarniya @nitin_gadkari Ji for sanctioning ₹456.88Cr for rehabilitation & up-gradation of Lalchara – Kanchanpur section of NH-44A under Bharatmala project. This is another major developmental project approved under the HIRA model of Hon PM Shri @narendramodi Ji,” Deb tweeted.
