Under Bharatmala scheme Tripura got Rs. 456.88 crore from the Centre for a National Highway project in Tripura. Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, announced the sanction of the fund in his official twitter handle on Wednesday.
The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways approved the amount for up-gradation and rehabilitation of Kanchanpur- Lalcherra National Highway- 44A..
“Sanction has been given for rehabilitation and up-gradation of Lalcherra – Kanchanpur section of NH-44A under Bharatmala project in Tripura with ₹456.88 crore,” Gadkari tweeted.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Minister for sanctioning the fund. According to Deb, it is another development project approved under the HIRA model of the Prime Minister.
