The new campus for National Forensic Science University would come up in the Sadar sub-division. The Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved the proposal to provide 49.21 acre land for setting up of the proposed off-campus NFSU centre.
Tripura would be the fourth place in the country to have such an off-campus centre of National Forensic Science University.
The state government has decided to procure more 20,000 MT paddy directly from the local farmers at Minimum Support Price (MSP).
ICA minister and cabinet spokesman Sushanta Chowdhury said the decision had been approved by the cabinet on Tuesday. He said the paddy procurement drive at MSP would cost around Rs. 45.68 crore.
The cabinet decisions included creation of 3 posts in establishment section of the Court No-5 in the High Court of Tripura, increase in allowance of the clerks under the Law department working with lawyers from Rs. 7500 to Rs. 8500 per month and recruitment of five Scientific Officers (Group-B, Gazetted) under the Home department, Chowdhury said.
