The Council of Ministers on Tuesday approved recruitment of 35 Medical Officers (Dental), said ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury. They would be recruited through Tripura Public Service Commission and the dental medical officers who had served for Covid duties would be given priority in the recruitment.
The ICA minister said there are several pending cases, mostly departmental proceedings, of the employees under various departments. For fair and early disposal of such cases, the state government decided to appoint contractual Investigating Officers from the recently-retired IAS, Senior TCS and Judicial officers. The appointment would come under the Administrative Reforms department.
As per the cabinet decision, in case of submission of investigation report within three months, the IAS officers would get honorarium of Rs. 15,000 and TCS officers would get Rs. 10,000.
“A committee comprising secretary level officers under the Administrative reforms department will be formed and such appointments will be given based on the committee’s decision,” Chowdhury told the media.
The cabinet has approved a proposal for providing 25 acre land to Society for Tripura Medical College and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital, Hapania on lease. The land has been provided for infrastructural development in the College and the Hospital as well as for inclusion of improved services.
