Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha led a crucial review meeting on the draft Tripura School Quality Assessment and Accreditation Framework (TSQAAF) at the state Secretariat. The meeting was attended by key officials, including Special Secretary of the Education Department Raval Hemendra Kumar, NC Sharma, Director of Secondary and Primary Education, L. Darlong, Director of SCERT, and various heads of educational schemes.

The Chief Minister underscored the state government’s unwavering focus on enhancing educational quality. Dr. Saha stressed that alongside investing in modern educational infrastructure, continuous assessment and reviews are essential to uplift the standard of education. He directed stakeholders to implement effective measures that would support students in achieving academic excellence.

A significant part of the discussion involved the pilot phase of the TSQAAF in Dhalai and South Tripura districts. Dr. Saha instructed officials to submit comprehensive reports detailing the pilot’s outcomes to identify successes and address challenges.

Special Secretary Raval Hemendra Kumar elaborated on the TSQAAF draft, highlighting its role in pinpointing deficiencies in both educational delivery and infrastructure within school complexes. He mentioned that the framework is designed to guide authorities in taking timely corrective actions, ensuring sustained quality improvements.

Additionally, the meeting touched upon teacher training initiatives. SCERT and Secondary Education Department officials shared insights into their ongoing programs aimed at equipping educators with the skills needed for effective teaching.
