Representatives of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers met with Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to push for the regularization of their services. This meeting followed a July directive from the Tripura High Court ordering the state government to regularize the employment of SSA teachers recruited between September 13, 2001, and August 23, 2010.
A delegation of SSA teachers, including Anjit Debbarma, Runu Chakraborty, Sentu Das, and Mithan Bose, sought the Chief Minister’s intervention on the matter. During the discussion, Chief Minister Saha assured the teachers that he would examine the issue in alignment with the court’s directive. SSA teacher Anjit Debbarma described the talks as "positive" and expressed optimism that the government would soon address their concerns.
The Tripura High Court, led by Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, had mandated the state government to initiate regularization measures within three months. Despite this, the government has yet to implement the ruling, leaving SSA teachers anxious over the delay.
