Ankit Pal, an exceptional student hailing from Lalchara in the Khowai district, is now one step closer to realizing his dream of pursuing engineering at IIT Benares, thanks to the benevolence of the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association. Responding to the call of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, the association generously extended financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to support Ankit’s higher education aspirations.
Ankit’s impressive academic achievements earned him the ninth position in this year’s higher secondary examination conducted by the Tripura Board of Madhya Shiksha. His dedication and hard work led him to secure a coveted opportunity to study Civil Engineering at IIT Benares through the state’s ‘Super Thirty’ scheme. However, financial constraints cast a shadow over his ambitions.
Determined to overcome this obstacle, Ankit, accompanied by his mother, sought an audience with Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha at the Chief Minister’s official residence. Moved by Ankit’s drive and potential, the Chief Minister pledged unwavering support from the state government and encouraged the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association to extend a helping hand to the deserving student.
True to their ethos of altruism, the association promptly provided an initial financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh, effectively clearing the path for Ankit’s educational journey.
The cheque handover ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Saha, State Government Secretary PK Chakraborty, and Asim Saha, representing the Civil Service Organization. Expressing his appreciation, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Saha congratulated the association for their compassionate gesture and assured continuous government backing for Ankit’s promising future.
Taking to social media platform Facebook, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Saha lauded the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association’s response to his appeal. He wrote, “Responding to my appeal, the Tripura Civil Service Officers Association extended a helping hand for the higher education of Ankit, a brilliant student of Lalchara, Khowai district. Today at my official residence, I hand over a cheque of Rs.1 lakh to Ankit. I congratulate Tripura Civil Service Officers Association for this initiative. Also, I wish this talented student a bright future. Our government will fully support him for his studies.”
