“One has to know oneself first, has to know what qualities one has within. Only then, success could be achieved. Students have to pave their own path to success. The more aware a person is, the more success can be achieved. Achieving success also requires self-confidence, personality and positive mentality”, enunciated Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in an interactive session with college students at Vivekananda Shatabarshiki Bhawan in Dharmanagar today.

He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi very recently had interacted with students through ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program for two hours. The Chief Minister called on the students to watch the program. He said, students must know about their qualities as the Prime Minister has encouraged to know oneself at the program.

The Chief Minister said, determination is one big factor essential for students. One who is determined will surely achieve success. Also, one has to know one’s own qualities. One has to know which path will lead to success. For this, knowledge about the government’s different welfare schemes is important. One has to stay well informed about government’s plans. College students of Dharmanagar Government Degree College and North Tripura Polytechnic College participated in the interactive session. The Chief Minister asked the students to speak out about their good qualities. A student replied that he is good at singing. He later sang a song and the Chief Minister lauded him for that. Some said they are good at painting and writing poems. The Chief Minister said, a new education policy has started in the state where vocational courses have been given importance as students will be able to acquire job-oriented skills through vocational courses besides academic studies. He said, the present government has made efforts to build Tripura as one of the front-runner states. A blueprint has already been made which shows in which path the state will head to in the next 25 years. Students in their final year are being given financial assistance to buy mobile phones under Mukhyamantri Yuva Jogajog Yojana.

The Chief Minister asked the students on what Central Home Minister Amit Shah announced on 8 March, 2022. To that, a female student replied, 33% reservation for women in government jobs. The Chief Minister further said, the Home Minister has also announced one other thing. Home Minister laid foundation stone for a Forensic University on that day. There are no Forensic Universities in the Northeast. The Chief Minister called on the students to stay away from addictive items. He said, everyone possesses a special quality within. Once that is realized, success is guaranteed. He also called on students to practice good manners and honesty. Other dignitaries present there were Chairman of Dharmanagar Municipal Council Pradyut Dey Sarkar, North Tripura DM & Collector Nagesh Kumar B., Sperintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K., Director of Higher Secondary department Nripendra Chandra Sharma.
