ely participate in this nationwide campaign, which will run from May 29 to June 12, and work with the goal of reaching the maximum number of farmers.
Chouhan said the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ is a major initiative to increase agricultural production. “This country is ours, the soil is ours, and the farmers are ours. Our goal is to make farming profitable, increase food grain production, ensure food security, fill the granaries with grains, pulses, fruits, and vegetables, and provide nutritious food to the people of the country,” he stated.
He emphasized that agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy and nearly half the population depends on it for livelihood. “We must continue working to ensure their livelihoods. It is also essential to preserve the land in a productive state for future generations. I am pleased to note that both central and state governments are making good progress in this direction.”

Chouhan expressed happiness over record agricultural production this year. “Be it rice, paddy, maize, or even pulses and oilseeds—we have set new records in production. I congratulate all the states and agriculture ministers for this achievement, which has been possible through collective efforts. However, we must not stop here. We must move forward beyond this success.”
He stressed that all institutions, departments, universities, and other resources under the agriculture ministries of both central and state governments must work together in coordination to achieve even greater success. “Working in one direction with shared coordination can bring miracles in agriculture,” he added.
He mentioned that the ‘Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ has been designed to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Lab to Land’. “This campaign is meant for a developed India and is dedicated to serving our farmers. It aims to ensure the food security of our nation. I have always believed that serving farmers is akin to worshipping God. States hold a great responsibility in safeguarding farmers’ interests.
