An Indian all-party delegation led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha arrived in Jakarta after a successful Singapore visit, reinforcing India’s stand against terrorism under Operation Sindoor. The diplomatic outreach seeks Indonesia’s support against cross-border terrorism and aims to strengthen strategic ties and global cooperation.
A high-level Indian Parliamentary delegation led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday, marking the next phase of its diplomatic mission following a productive visit to Singapore. The delegation’s outreach is part of Operation Sindoor, India’s assertive initiative to rally international support against terrorism, particularly cross-border terrorism sponsored by Pakistan.
The delegation, comprising MPs from across India’s political spectrum, is in Indonesia to engage with key stakeholders, including government officials, parliamentarians, political party leaders, the ASEAN Secretary General, resident ambassadors, think tanks, academia, media professionals, and members of the Indian diaspora. The purpose is to strengthen international understanding of India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
“The All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, led by Sanjay Kumar Jha, arrived in Jakarta as part of India’s diplomatic outreach on Operation Sindoor. India stands committed to fighting terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” the Indian Embassy in Jakarta announced on social media platform X. “Through this outreach, India sets out to seek understanding and support of its historic friend and Comprehensive Strategic Partner,” it added.
The bipartisan delegation includes BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah, Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barittas, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid, and former Indian Ambassador to France Mohan Kumar.
The visit to Indonesia follows successful diplomatic engagements in Singapore, South Korea, and Japan. In Singapore, the Indian parliamentarians met with Ministers Edwin Tong, Sim Ann, and Janil Puthucheary, reaffirming India’s uncompromising position on counter-terrorism efforts. They also interacted with Singaporean MPs, business leaders, think-tank members, and the Indian community.

According to the Indian High Commission in Singapore, the delegation clearly articulated India’s evolving anti-terrorism strategy in light of the Pahalgam terror attack and the launch of Operation Sindoor. “India will give a fitting reply if there is a terrorist attack on Indian soil, will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail, and will treat both terrorist masterminds and their sponsoring states as equally culpable,” the statement emphasized.
India’s message is clear: terrorism will not be tolerated in any form, and the international community’s support is vital in countering this global menace. The delegation’s ongoing visit to Indonesia aims to further consolidate bilateral ties and build momentum in the international fight against terrorism.
