Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha left for Delhi on Tuesday. It will be Dr. Saha’s maiden visit to Delhi since he became the Chief Minister.

According to official sources, Dr. Saha is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief J.P. Nadda and other central leaders. 

While Dr. Saha will brief the central leadership about the state government’s development works, the matter related to election of state BJP president is also likely to be discussed.

Before leaving for Delhi Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways and Civil Aviation, Government of India General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh had a courtesy meet with the Chief Minister at the Secretariat today. Different matters related to the welfare of the state were discussed between them, especially the matters of all those schemes that are related to road construction in the state and rapid implementation of schemes using modern technology, to start connectivity with Bangladesh through Maitri Setu in Sabroom and construction of new terminal building of Kailasahar airport. The Chief Minister welcomed the Minister of State for Road Transport & Highways General (Dr.) V. K. Singh with traditional Risa, bouquet and a souvenir.
