So far 4,102 Reang (Bru) migrant families have been resettled in Tripura. Permanent resettlement of the remaining Reang (Bru)migrant families at 12 identified locations in the state is underway and will be completed by 28th February 2023. The Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department Puneet Agarwal gave this news at a press conference held at the Secretariat.
He said that there are 37,136 members of 6,959 Reang (Bru) migrant families sheltered in Tripura. All of them will be resettled at 12 identified locations in the state. The Principal Secretary also highlighted the benefits that the Reang (Bru) migrants are gettingand other facilities that they will receive later. The facilities includesvoting rights, free ration cards, as per the agreement signed between the Government of India, the Government of Tripura,Government of Mizoram and the Reang (Bru) migrantsorganization. He informed that the rehabilitation centers will have facilities like roads, electricity, purified drinking water, health services etc. He also informed that financial assistance to Reang (Bru)migrants is also being provided through DBT.
In the press conference, the PrincipalSecretary of the revenue department informed that the infrastructural development of the office of Khowai and Sepahijala district administration has completed under the NLCPR project. 42.20 crore rupees has been spent for this.In the financial year 2022-23, 42 new Tehsil offices will be constructed along with the improvement of 112 Tehsil offices under the Special Assistance Project. This work has already started. He said that land has been allotted to 1490 families under Mukhyamantri Cha SramikKalyan Scheme. Allotment of land to the rest of the families is under process. He said computerization is being done in Tehsil offices under DILRMP project. Laptops are being provided to Tehsil offices.
In the press conference, the Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department informed that land mapping software has been launched in the state to improve land maps. NGDRS software has been launched for the convenience of the people in the Registry Office. The Principal Secretary also elaborated on online e-citizen services, revenue court case monitoring system, online payment of land revenue, e-ROR services etc. He said that the work of revisional survey in the revenue circle of the state will be completed this year itself. Senior officials including Additional Secretary Anindya Bhattacharya, Additional Secretary Pradip Acharya were also present at the press conference.
