Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb who was spearheading the BJP poll campaign called upon people not to be misguided by the Trinamool Congress design as he addressed two election rallied on Saturday.

It is party filled with mischief and evil intentions, he said.

Deb castigated the TMC for creating disturbances and communal hatred in the state.

“There is no place for mafia-raj, gunda-raj, cattle smuggling, coal smuggling and other smuggling business in Tripura; 37 lakhs people of Tripura are with Biplab Kumar Deb and Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, he maintained

In a reference to I-PAC’s survey, Deb said, “calls are being made to misguide the people. Nothing will work in Tripura. There is no place for politics of fooling people.”

Deb also referred to the communist rule and said, “the party that even failed to provide security to its own leaders, MLAs and administrative officers during its rule is now shedding crocodile tears in the name of democracy and law and order.”

Addressing another election rally in support of BJP-nominated candidates at new motorstand area of Belonia, he said, “in democracy, every political party has the right to reach out people and seek vote. But, no one should misguide the people.”

In the rally, around 700 people from other parties joined BJP.

MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik and other local BJP leaders were present in the rally.
