Before the 2023 assembly elections the state government is contemplating massive appointment drive in various department.

If everything goes as planned then 8,110 new jobs are to be given within months. The new appointment will include-600 TET Teachers, 200 Special Educators, 300 PGTs, 230 GTs (IX, X), 110 PGTs, 1,000 police constables, 760 miscellaneous posts (TPSC) and 4910 jobs through JRBT.

But at this moment the state government all set to fill up as many as 21 posts of Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) and also to create 65 new posts. A decision in this regard was taken by the cabinet on Tuesday, said Ratan Lal Nath, Education Minister.

Of the 65 new posts 42 posts will be in Cooperative department which will include 12 LDCs, 18 Investigators and 12 Group-D employees. The Youth Affairs and Sports would get 20 new Sports Officers while Science and Technology department will  get three posts -one Joint Director, one Deputy Project Officer and one UDC.

The minister told reporters that since the BJP-IPFT government came to power in 2018 so far 13,984 posts under various departments were filled up. Of them 3251 were Teachers, 1443 were TSR personnel, 1400 were SPOs, 38 were Assistant Professors, 444 were Junior Medical Officers, 11 were Judicial officers, 97 were PA (Gr-II), 80 were TCS/TPS officers, 96 were LDCs, 65 were Sub-Inspectors, six where TFS (Gr-II) officers, 57 were Lecturers (diploma level), 33were Basic Teachers, 62 were Agriculture Officers (Gr-I), eight were Food Safety Officers. Along with the 1070 got jobs under the die-in-harness scheme and 5823 were engaged by outsourcing..

“After assumption of power we created 11,000 posts and the Finance department approved filling up of 13,632 posts -including the vacant posts.
