Union Home Minister Amit Shah offered Puja at the Tripura Sundari temple in Matabari, Udaipur. He also unveiled the Silver door of the temple of the presiding deity of the state. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, Chief Secretary Kumar Alok, DGP V S Yadav , District Magistrate Gomati and other senior officials were present.
Later , secretary to Tourism Kiran Gitte brief the Union Home Minister about the plans taken under the PRASAD scheme for development of Matabari.
From Udaipur the Union Home Minister would fly back to Agartala in a BSF chopper and then address a rally at Swami Vivekananda maidan
Earlier Shah reached Agartala in a BSF flight. He was received at MBB Airport by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Union MoS Pratima Bhoumik and Chief Secretary Kumar Alok, DGP VS Yadav, BJP state unit president Dr Manik Saha, BJP Tripura Incharge Vinod Sonkar, senior BSF officials, District Magistrate D Bardhan.
