Union Home Minister Amit Shah will announce a special policy for the women and also of the tea workers of the state on Tuesday.
As it happened Shah’s visit coincides the International Women’s Day and the state government came out with an ambitious plan for the women of the state—which is unique in all sense- “Tripura Policy for Women 2022 and Action Plan”- to be announced by the Home Minister. Apart from the policy for the women the Union Home Minister is also expected to launch “Mukhyamantri Cha Shramik Kalyan Prakalpa”.
The Union Home Minister who will be reaching here at 11.30 am on Tuesday will fly to Matabari on a BSF helicopter accompanied by Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and will unveil PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Heritage Augmentation Drive) at the temple complex. He is also expected to open a silver door at the temple.
From there he will fly down to Assam Rifles ground 1.pm in Agartala and then come to Astabal Ground to address a rally.
In the rally the Union Home minister is expected to dwell extensively on the success and achievements of the BJP-IPFT government of the state which had just completed four years on March 3 last.
After the rally Shah will leave for Anandanagar by BSF helicopter again and then lay the foundation stone of the National Forensic Science University Complex. In the programme a host of state ministers and also Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik will remain present.
After that Shah will have meetings with Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhowmik. and high officials at State Guest House.
After the meeting he will leave for Delhi.
In the meantime, in view of the Union Home Minister’s visit government as well as BJP party did not leave any stone unturned to make it a gala programme.
An elaborate security arrangement has been prepared and dry runs were conducted. All police stations were put on high alert and border vigils were intensified.
Both sides of the road from Airport to Swami Vivekananda Maidan have been decorated with flags, festoons as well as banners highlighting major achievements of the BJP-IPFT government. The rally at Swami Vivekananda Maidan is likely to draw huge crowd.
