Tripura government has taken initiatives to develop Tripura as an educational hub in Northeast India, said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha after inaugurating 16th convention of NIT Agartala.

Emphasising the government’s commitment to transforming Tripura into an educational hub in northeast India, Dr. Saha said, “The state government has taken initiatives to develop the state as an educational hub within the Northeast region of the country, and our aim is not only to provide education but to participate in determining the destiny of the country.” To achieve this goal, the state government is eager to create infrastructure, engage in collaborative initiatives, and work closely with technical colleges in the state.

Dr. Saha highlighted the integration of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 into the education system, underscoring its significance.

He further underlined the commitment of the state government to propel NIT Agartala forward, in alignment with national initiatives like “Skill India” and the Atal Innovation Mission.

Addressing the newly graduated students, Dr. Saha stated, “Your success is the pride of all of us, and your success story will inspire other students as well.”

NIT Agartala Director Professor Sarat Kumar Patra provided insights into the institution’s significance and academic offerings, noting that NIT Agartala is nationally important with a diverse student population studying various subjects.
