Aspirants of the STGT-2022 (Selection Test for Graduate Teachers) in Tripura staged a protest and submitted a memorandum to Dr. Pratyush Ranjan Deb, the Controller of Examinations at TRBT (Teachers’ Recruitment Board Tripura), demanding the swift conclusion of the recruitment process.
According to one of the protesters, who spoke to the press while demonstrating outside Shiksha Bhavan, the STGT examinations for 230 vacant posts for graduate teachers were conducted by TRBT in September 2022.
However, more than a year has passed, and the results have not been released, stalling the recruitment process.
The delay has been attributed to a legal dispute concerning reservation, which led to a case filed in the Tripura High Court. Despite the Court’s ruling on the matter, the TRBT has yet to implement its decision, according to the protestors.
The demonstrators are now calling on the state’s chief minister, who also oversees the education portfolio, to intervene in the matter and expedite the recruitment process.
