The launch event was attended by the film’s director, Anoop Sathyan, producer Binu George Alexander, members of the cast and crew, and several prominent personalities from the Malayalam film industry.
The yet-to-be-titled project was formally launched when the mother of producer Binu George Alexander lit the traditional ceremonial lamp, marking the beginning of the film’s production journey. Mohanlal also participated in the ceremony by clapping the clapboard for the first shot, adding a special moment to the occasion.
The makers unveiled the film’s first-look poster during the launch event, generating interest among fans and Malayalam cinema enthusiasts. The poster features Mohanlal sitting beside a little girl with a warm smile, while another young child is seen leaning against his back, holding a paper toy. The family-oriented visual has created curiosity about the film’s characters and storyline.
According to reports, #L368 is expected to be a comedy-action entertainer, combining humour and action in an engaging narrative. Actor Mukesh is also set to play a pivotal role in the film, adding further interest to the project. However, the makers have not yet revealed the complete cast details or the film’s official title.
The project marks director Anoop Sathyan’s second directorial venture after his successful debut film, Varane Avashyamund. The director is the son of renowned Malayalam filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad, whose contribution to Malayalam cinema has earned him a distinguished position in the industry.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mohanlal expressed his happiness about being part of the film and shared his long-standing professional association with Sathyan Anthikad. He recalled that he had worked with the veteran director from his first film to his latest project, describing the experience as a wonderful journey.
Mohanlal said he was delighted to continue that association with Sathyan Anthikad’s son, Anoop Sathyan. He also conveyed his best wishes to the director and expressed confidence that the upcoming film would turn out to be a good cinematic experience.
“There are all indications that it will emerge as a good film,” Mohanlal said, expressing optimism about the project’s potential.
The upcoming film also brings together an experienced technical team. Anoop Sathyan has taken responsibility for both the screenplay and direction, while Shehnad Jalal will handle cinematography. The music will be composed by Jakes Bejoy, known for his work in Malayalam cinema.
Prasanth Madhav has been appointed as the art director, while the action sequences will be choreographed by renowned stunt director Stunt Silva. The combination of experienced technicians and established performers is expected to add to the film’s production value.
