Karisma Kapoor recreated 1990s Bollywood nostalgia by dancing with Rohit Sharma to ‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’ from Dil To Pagal Hai on Family Full House. The former India captain said the memorable moment made his day.

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor brought back the magic of 1990s Hindi cinema by making former Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma dance to her popular song ‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’ from the iconic romantic musical Dil To Pagal Hai. The entertaining moment took place on the sets of the game show Family Full House and has attracted attention for its nostalgic appeal.

In a promotional video shared by the channel, Rohit Sharma is seen joining Karisma Kapoor for a dance to the memorable track. The duo recreated some of the song’s signature moves, offering fans a delightful combination of Bollywood nostalgia and cricket-star charm.

Rohit appeared visibly excited after dancing with the actress, revealing that he had never imagined getting an opportunity to perform alongside her. Recalling how he used to watch the film and practise its dance steps, the cricketer expressed his happiness at finally recreating the moment with the original star.

“Movie mein hum dekhte dekhte itna ye karte the, aaj maine naach liya. Maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha ki mujhe aapke saath naachne ka mauka milega. Mere toh din ban gaye bhai, please. Maza aa gaya, maza aa gaya,” Rohit said.

In English, he explained that he used to watch the movie and practise the dance steps, but had never thought he would one day get the opportunity to dance with Karisma herself. He described the experience as a moment that had made his day and added that he thoroughly enjoyed it.

The interaction also highlighted the friendly atmosphere on the sets of Family Full House. In another video, Karisma praised Rohit for his hosting abilities, describing him as natural, effortless and charming.

“I think Rohit was an amazing host. He was so effortless, and had such a charming personality. Obviously, on the field and off the field, as a host he was just amazing,” the actress said.

Her appreciation offered a glimpse into Rohit’s personality beyond cricket, showing his ability to engage with guests and entertain audiences in a television setting.

The song ‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’ originally featured in Dil To Pagal Hai, the 1997 romantic musical directed by Yash Chopra. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor and became one of the memorable Bollywood productions of the decade.

The energetic track was sung by legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle and Udit Narayan, with music composed by Uttam Singh and lyrics written by Anand Bakshi. Renowned choreographer Shiamak Davar choreographed the song, which remains associated with Karisma Kapoor’s popular performances during the 1990s.

Karisma was among the leading actresses of that era and earned recognition for her performances in several successful Hindi films. She made her Bollywood debut as a teenager and went on to establish herself as a prominent figure in the industry. Her performance in Dil To Pagal Hai remains one of the notable highlights of her career.

The dance between Karisma and Rohit has brought renewed attention to ‘Le Gayi Le Gayi’, demonstrating the enduring popularity of 1990s Bollywood songs. For Rohit, however, the highlight was personal: dancing alongside an actress whose iconic performance he had admired for years.
