Sensex Falls 545 Points, Nifty Sheds 228 Amid Broad-Based Sell

Benchmark domestic equity indices pared their early gains and were trading over 0.7 per cent lower in the forenoon session today. The Sensex shed 545 points to 72 thousand 704, while the Nifty lost 228 points to 22 thousand 459, when reports last came in. Barring IT, all other sectoral indices witnessed a broad-based sell-off.
