Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha chairs meeting to prepare for the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan from September 17 to October 17, marking PM Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public service.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday chaired a state-level preparatory meeting to review arrangements for the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, which will be observed across the state from September 17 to October 17, 2026, as part of a nationwide programme marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his 25 years of public service and dedication.

The meeting was held at the State Guest House in Agartala and was attended by BJP Tripura Pradesh President Abhishek Debroy, ministers, senior party leaders and representatives from the state, district and mandal levels. Detailed discussions were held on the programmes proposed under the month-long campaign and the steps required for their successful implementation.

According to the Chief Minister, the state government and the BJP organisation have jointly planned around 25 programmes during the campaign period. The preparatory meeting was convened to finalise arrangements, coordinate responsibilities at different organisational levels and ensure that the planned activities reach people across Tripura.

The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is being organised as part of a nationwide initiative linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. The campaign seeks to highlight the spirit of public service and social commitment while commemorating 25 years of his public life and dedication to serving people.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Dr. Manik Saha said preparations were being undertaken to ensure the successful implementation of all programmes across the state. He emphasised the importance of coordination between government representatives and the party organisation for the smooth conduct of activities during the month-long observance.

The Chief Minister has also stressed the broader objective of strengthening the commitment to public service and working for the welfare and upliftment of people at the grassroots level. The campaign is expected to include various public-oriented and welfare-related activities across different parts of Tripura.

The participation of leaders and functionaries from the state, district and mandal levels is expected to facilitate wider outreach and coordination during the campaign. Responsibilities for organising and implementing the programmes will be coordinated at different levels to ensure effective execution.

The month-long campaign will begin on September 17 and continue until October 17, providing an extended period for public-service initiatives and social welfare activities. Detailed schedules for individual programmes are expected to be finalised as preparations advance.

The initiative comes amid continued efforts by the state BJP organisation and government to strengthen grassroots engagement through public programmes and welfare-oriented activities. Leaders at the meeting reviewed the proposed arrangements and discussed ways to ensure greater participation.

Dr. Saha said all concerned departments, party units and organisational functionaries would work together to make the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ successful across Tripura. The campaign is expected to focus on the spirit of service and reinforce the commitment to reaching people, particularly those at the last mile of society.
