Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu urged citizens to join the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, hoist the National Flag and celebrate patriotism, collective responsibility and the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047 during a Tiranga Concert in Sepahijala.
Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu has called upon citizens across the state to participate wholeheartedly in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, urging people to display the National Flag with pride and contribute to the collective vision of building a developed, confident and self-reliant India by 2047.
The Governor made the appeal while attending a Har Ghar Tiranga and Tiranga Concert organised by the Office of the District Magistrate and Collector, Sepahijala, in association with the Information and Cultural Affairs Department. The programme was held at the premises of the DM and Collector’s Office in Sepahijala this evening.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Nallu said that the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cannot be achieved through government efforts alone. He stressed that the participation, dedication and patriotic spirit of every citizen are essential to transforming the vision into reality.
The Governor said the success of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign depends significantly on active public participation. He urged citizens to come forward with enthusiasm and make the National Flag a visible symbol of unity, pride and commitment across communities.
He appealed to people to proudly hoist the Tiranga at their homes, workplaces, shops and educational and other institutions. He said the National Flag should flutter high across Sepahijala district and Tripura, reminding people of the immense sacrifices made by millions of Indians who fought and laid down their lives for the country’s freedom.
Highlighting the importance of digital participation, Governor Nallu encouraged citizens to visit the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal, upload selfies with the National Flag and download participation certificates. He also appealed to people to share their participation on social media using the hashtags #HarGharTiranga and #HGT2026.
According to the Governor, sharing such moments can encourage more people to participate and help showcase the enduring spirit of patriotism in India. He called upon citizens to demonstrate that the spirit of the nation remains strong in every home, village and heart.
The Governor also urged residents to actively participate in various local programmes being organised under the campaign. These include community rallies, mass singing programmes and cultural events designed to bring people together and strengthen the feeling of national unity.
He particularly called upon citizens to sing “Vande Mataram” with pride and join the collective expression of love and respect for the motherland. He said such community participation would help strengthen patriotic values among people, particularly the younger generation.
The Sepahijala programme brought together people from different sections of society. Dr. Siddartha Shiv Jaiswal, District Magistrate and Collector of Sepahijala, delivered the welcome address, while Superintendent of Police Bijoy Debbarma was also present at the event.
The programme was presided over by Supriya Das Datta, Sabhadhipati of Sepahijala Zilla Parishad. Members of Self-Help Groups, elected representatives of local Panchayats, students and other stakeholders from across the district participated in the programme.
Adding colour and cultural vibrancy to the event, local artistes from Sepahijala presented a cultural programme featuring patriotic songs, traditional dances and folk performances. The performances further strengthened the atmosphere of patriotism and celebration among the participants.

The Governor’s appeal comes as the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign continues to encourage citizens to establish a direct connection with the National Flag and express their national pride through individual and community participation.
The campaign also provides an opportunity for people to remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters and reinforce the values of unity, responsibility and patriotism. Through the participation of citizens, institutions, local communities and cultural groups, the initiative seeks to create a widespread patriotic atmosphere.

Governor Nallu urged the people of Tripura to make the campaign a collective celebration and ensure that the Tiranga remains a prominent symbol of national pride throughout the state.
