The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has announced the 2026 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examination toppers, highlighting outstanding academic achievements across all eight districts of Tripura. Students from various schools secured top positions, reflecting balanced educational progress, academic excellence, and strong support from teachers and parents.

The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) on Tuesday officially published the names of students who secured positions among the top 10 rank holders in the 2026 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations. The merit lists highlighted exceptional academic performances by students from all eight districts of the state, reflecting balanced educational development and growing academic excellence across Tripura.

The announcement was made during a press conference held in Agartala, where TBSE President Dhananjay Gan Chowdhury congratulated the successful candidates and acknowledged the collective efforts behind their achievements.

Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhury said that the accomplishments of the toppers were the result of their dedication, perseverance, and consistent hard work. He also credited teachers and parents for providing the necessary guidance and support that contributed to the students’ success.

In the Higher Secondary examination, Puja Datta of PM Shri Jolaibari MM Girls Higher Secondary School in South Tripura emerged as the state topper by securing 491 marks. Tripti Das of PM Shri Kamini Kumar Higher Secondary School in West Tripura secured the second position with 490 marks.

The third position was jointly secured by Ayan Saha of Ampinagar Higher Secondary School and Diya Nath of Ramkamal Higher Secondary School, both scoring 488 marks. Farzana Akhtar of Vivekananda Vidyapith Higher Secondary School and Puja Roy of PM Shri Jolaibari MM Higher Secondary School jointly secured the fourth position. Biswajit Chand of Brajendra Higher Secondary School stood fifth with 481 marks.

According to the board, a total of 15 students were included in the top 10 merit list of the Higher Secondary examination. Notably, girls dominated the rankings, with nine female students securing places among the top performers, compared to six boys.

In the Madhyamik examination, Shubhrajit Sarkar of PM Shri Amarpur Town Higher Secondary School secured the first position in the state with an impressive score of 496 marks. Aishika Pal of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir stood second with 483 marks, while Eliza Sangma of St. Francis Assisi English Medium School secured the third position with 479 marks.

Rohan Debbarma of Ananda Marga School and Ashmit Sutradhar of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Vidyamandir jointly occupied the fourth position after scoring 478 marks each. Debasmita Saha of Vivekananda Shishu Niketan secured the fifth position with 477 marks.

The Madhyamik top 10 merit list featured 13 students from different parts of the state. TBSE Secretary Jaydeep Bhattacharjee noted that students from all eight districts had successfully secured positions in the merit lists, demonstrating balanced educational progress and improving academic standards across Tripura.

He further explained that the publication of the merit lists was delayed due to the completion of the re-evaluation process and the incorporation of revised results to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Bhattacharjee also informed that the application process under the “Bachhar Bachao” programme commenced on Tuesday. Students and guardians can access detailed information regarding the programme through the official TBSE website.
