Tripura CM Dr. Manik Saha reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparent governance and public welfare during the 67th edition of the “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” programme in Agartala. Citizens received direct assistance for healthcare, housing, employment, and land-related issues, strengthening trust between people and the administration.

Reiterating the Tripura government’s commitment to transparent governance, public welfare and responsive administration, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday stated that ensuring government benefits reach deserving citizens and resolving public grievances efficiently remain among the administration’s highest priorities.

The Chief Minister made the remarks while interacting with citizens during the 67th edition of the “Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” programme, held at his official residence in Agartala. The initiative has emerged as an important platform that allows people from across the state to directly communicate their concerns, seek assistance and receive prompt responses from the government.

Describing the programme as a reliable bridge between the administration and the public, Dr. Saha emphasized that the government’s objective is to establish a transparent, accountable and citizen-friendly governance system. He noted that public trust can only be strengthened when people are given opportunities to directly present their grievances and receive timely support.

“Mukhyamantri Samipeshu” has been playing a significant role in making the administration more accessible and people-oriented. Through this initiative, citizens from different corners of the state are able to approach the Chief Minister directly with issues related to healthcare, housing, employment, financial hardships and other social concerns.

During the latest edition of the programme, several individuals sought assistance for medical treatment, livelihood support and housing-related issues. Among them was Manika Debbarma from Champlai Para under Mungiakami Block, who appealed for help in securing permanent housing and employment opportunities for her family. After listening to her concerns, the Chief Minister assured her that necessary support would be extended through the relevant government departments.

Another applicant, Ratna Biswas from South Nalchar in Sepahijala district, approached the Chief Minister seeking assistance for her husband’s neurological treatment. After hearing the details of the cases, Dr. Saha directed officials from the concerned departments to take immediate steps to facilitate advanced medical care and ensure that the affected families receive the required support without delay.

Several other citizens also presented their medical and financial concerns before the Chief Minister. These included Priyanka Gurudas from Kathaltali in Madhuban seeking kidney treatment assistance, Shantanu Sinha from Town Pratapgarh requesting support for his son’s medical treatment, and Shyamal Chakraborty from Bardowali seeking healthcare and financial aid.

Additionally, Dilip Kumar Sarkar from Town Pratapgarh sought assistance for his son’s brain surgery, while Usha Rishidas, facing financial difficulties, requested help for her husband’s treatment. Sanjit Deb from Teliamura also appealed for support in treating his son’s serious illness. Responding to each request, Dr. Saha assured prompt action and instructed officials to expedite necessary procedures to provide relief to the applicants.

Apart from healthcare and welfare issues, the programme also addressed administrative matters. Kallol Brahmachari from Ujan Dhanpur in Unakoti district raised a land-related issue and sought government intervention. The Chief Minister assured him that the matter would be examined thoroughly and appropriate assistance would be provided in accordance with legal and administrative procedures.

Senior government officials attended the programme to ensure immediate coordination and follow-up action. Among those present were Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Secretary to the Chief Minister Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, and Special Secretary of the Social Welfare and Social Education Department Tapan Kumar Das.
